Allow me to introduce myself; I’m Jason Courtney, the founder and operator of Dream Car Chicago. My entire life has quite literally been spent with the Rolls-Royce & Bentley brands. I am a third-generation Rolls-Royce service craftsman, following in the footsteps of my father and grandfather who passed on their skills and appreciation for these "proper motor cars."
It began with my grandfather, Lawrence Courtney, who started the family tradition as a craftsman at the original Crewe factory in England. In the late 1950s, Crewe management relocated Lawrence to the U.S. to educate Americans on the new 8-cylinder motor evolution. He settled in Chicago, established himself as a premier Rolls-Royce expert, and eventually launched his own independent servicing business, later joined by my father, Julian.
Proper Motor Cars
The main focus at Dream Car Chicago is on post-war Rolls-Royce & Bentley cars hand-built at the Crewe factory through 1999. They possess a level of craftsmanship, quality, and attention to detail that no longer exists in today’s automotive world.
It is my love for these cars that compels me to act as caretaker—searching out the nicest examples to prepare and offer for sale. As a member of The Rolls-Royce Owners' Club, many of my cars are sourced through longtime members who maintain the best vehicles. We also source other exciting exotics; from Aston Martin and Ferrari to Jaguar and Land Rover, if it’s a car you’ve dreamed about, we’ve probably had it.
Craftsmanship & Preservation
Finding qualified people to care for these older motor cars is becoming difficult, as most technicians have retired and new car dealerships prefer servicing the post-2000 BMW/VW produced models. I offer full service on almost all postwar models of Crewe-built cars through the SZ era, alongside extensive restoration work.
When you buy a vehicle from me, you can be confident that I commit to servicing your car and making you a priority. All mechanical service is done in-house by me and my personally trained technicians, supplemented by qualified outside specialists for paint and fine wood refinishing.
